NexGen Cloud announces $1 billion investment in Europe's first AI Supercloud

NexGen Cloud, a sustainable Infrastructure-as-a-Service provider, has announced plans to invest $1 billion in Europe's first AI Supercloud. The AI Supercloud will be a dedicated compute-intensive platform for European businesses, organisations, and governments, enabling them to execute sensitive AI applications and research within European jurisdiction and privacy laws.

The AI Supercloud will be deployed in October 2023 and will be powered by more than 20,000 NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPUs by June 2024. This will make it one of the most powerful GPU-accelerated platforms in the world.

The AI Supercloud is expected to meet the growing demand for accelerated computing spurred by the technology industry's growing interest in using generative AI and other artificial intelligence applications to drive innovation and improve efficiency. It will also ensure regional and cost-effective access to GPU cloud services for European enterprises and scale-ups.

NexGen Cloud's AI Supercloud services will be delivered from European datacentres powered exclusively by 100% renewable energy, supporting industries including healthcare, finance, as well as media and entertainment.

The AI Supercloud will be accessible through NexGen Cloud's Hyperstack platform, a GPU-accelerated cloud platform powered by NVIDIA tech that enables direct-to-compute, GPU-accelerated cloud access for the European market.
